There is a possibility of a new political DXCC entity starting Saturday, 9 July 2011, Southern Sudan: http://www.dxfriends.com/SouthernSudan2011/ You can read more about its recent history here: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Southern_Sudan This would be an entirely new DXCC entity, not a reincarnation of the currently deleted ST0 entity. Remember that to be added to the ARRL DXCC list, one of the following *must* be true: a) The entity is a UN Member State. b) The entity has been assigned a callsign prefix bloc by the ITU. (The exceptions to this rule are international organizations, such as the UN and ICAO. These Entities are classified under Special Areas, 3.a); and Ineligible Areas, 4.b).) A provisional prefix bloc assignment may be made by the Secretary General of ITU.
