Hi Joe,
I tried your FT-991 rig file and this is what happens.
Clicking on a dx spot 14,089.5 the radio sets 140.895 vhf.
ONCE the radio freq is set it will NOT change by clicking other spots on dx spotting cluster.
Clicking on a CW spot sets theRADIO MODE to CW
Clicking on a RTTY spot sets theRADIO MODE to RTTY.

NOTE: that when clicking a spot the QSO window in DX4WIN
DOES set the FREQ (khz) in the little window next to GROUP.
Interesting it's setting the freq there but not changing the radio freq.

NOTE: Rig files for N1mm, HRD, FLDIGI, have been written and work in those programs. I would think a RIG file for DX4WIN from Paul would not be that hard to provide.

Thanks for your efforts.

Bob

Hi Joe,

Well progress.
1. I changed the radio and dx4win options as advised.
2. I turned off the radio and started DX4win and then started the radio.
3. I can click on DX SPOTS and the MODE is set.
4. When selecting a DX SPOT that has a split it SETS XIT/RIT.
4. THE FREQ DOES NOTHING no changes.

So MODE is set, SPLIT mode is set, BUT no freq changes.

Cool.....were getting somewhere.

I patiently wait your next instructions.

If you man no data at all from the rig, make sure that you
have checked RTS High in the Radio Setup (DX4Win Preferences)
and selected (RTS High) and set CAT TOT (menu 032) and 232C
TOT (menu 30) to 1000 depending on whether you are using USB
or RS-232 for control. The default data rate for the FTdx3000
rig file is 38,400 bps - the rig default rate is 4800. You will
need to reset menu 029 (232C Rate) or menu 031 (CAT rate) to
38,400 depending on whether you are using USB or RS-232.

If you are using USB, you will need to install the Yaesu USB
driver and the rig will need to be turned of *before* starting
DX4Win.
