Re: [Dx4win] updating NOT working

2018-10-13 Thread John, K9EL
Is the other PC running XP as well? Most web addresses will not respond to
XP systems because of new recent security standards. Best recommendation is
to retire any XP systems as soon as possible or use it for non-internet
connected applications.

[Dx4win] RTTY Window spots

2018-10-13 Thread Ian Fugler
I like to have two cluster spots flowing in to the DX Spots window by using
the RTTY Window to connect to a second cluster. I have connected to two
different clusters, but the spots from the RTTY Window are not flowing into
the DX Spots Window. I cannot recall how to enable that.

Any pointers appreciated, please.

Re: [Dx4win] Loading config file

2018-10-13 Thread Ian Fugler
Ok, thanks, Mike.

I think that's where I went wrong. I saved the .DAT file, rather than
writing the config file into a .txt file and then saving it. Not to worry.
I've just reset the Preferences from scratch and will write the new config
file correctly.

Hello Ian,

Your config file should be called config.txt and the beginning of it should
look something like this:

Hi,

I am trying to reload my config file, because the latest Windows update
seems to have upset my DX4Win settings. I had everything saved and the log
has loaded ok. But I cannot load the saved config file. I have it saved as
a DAT file, but when DX4WIN searches for config files to import, it doesn't

Am I missing something, please? Should I have written the config file into
a text document?

[Dx4win] Mode-keywords for cluster spots

2018-10-13 Thread Thomas Platz
Hello,

I have the following question:

Is there any possibility, to edit those keywords for cluster spot remarks,
which decide,
whether a spot is a special mode?
For example:
If there is a spot with „FT8“ in the remark field, the program interprets the
spot always as a digital mode spot.
If there is s spot with „FT-8“ or „FT_8“ in the remark field, the programm
interprets the spot as SSB or CW mode, regarding to the frequency!!
It would be good, if a user can define those keywords by himself.
Any suggestions?
Thank you very much for any ideas!
