OK, after some experimenting, I see what this command REALLY does. It does NOT automatically populate the QSO window (which is what I thought KE9L was asking foras in enter a callsign in the QSO windowand the name and address info fill in the QSO window "automatically"). Rather, what this command does is allows you to "automatically" populate the EXTERNAL data popup window (also called the "Lookup Window")IFyou already have it open (as in, you entered the callsign in the QSO windowthen ALSO hit F3 to bring up the external data popup window). Now when you scroll between callsigns you have already enteredit updates the info in the external popup window. Or if you entered a callsign in the QSO window.ANDyou have already opened that external popup window (again, by additionally entering F3)then yes, the external window would be updated with the info of the callsign you entered. To have the info populate the QSO window, you would still have to take the extra step of hitting "update QSO". It isn't going to populate the QSO window "automatically"just the external data popup window. So, depending on what KE9L was asking, the answer may actually be "hit F3" to get the info to pop upand then if you also want it in the QSO window...hit "Update QSO". I got excited for a second there when I thought that command was going to automatically update the info in QSO window! I tried that, and nothing happened. Is that supposed to automatically populate the QSO window if you merely type in a call sign? It didn't work for meand I have a QRZ subscription. F3 brings up the pop up window with the info. If i hit "update QSO" from the popup window, thenit will populate the QSO window. But "automatic update" from the external data popup window does't seem to work? Hello, happy year 2020, how could I do to get control of how many countries I have worked in FT8, without mixing it with other Digi. I would like to keep a specific control of countries or entities in FT8 with a list of all countries in order to see which ones I am missing. The same would happen with RTTY. Thanks for the advise Tim. Will try it. I already thought about putting monitors where they were before and drag map to the mail window, but unfortunately I have made click on Refresh display and now everything is blocked without the map. Hello Cort, DX4WIN remembers what you have uploaded before, so in the QSO window just do LoTW > Export to LoTW and it will select the right QSOs. [Dx4win] Worked all states?
Thank you everyone for all the suggestions. I have tried all of them. As it turns out, one of the stations I worked was in MN not ND. I changed ND to MN and all is ok now. I still don't know why it said North Dakota was confirmed when nothing was marked with a "Y". Not card, not LoTW or eqsl. I guess it's just one of life's little mysteries. I still wouldn't trade Dx4Win for all the logging programs out there. Hi Jim,What happens is that I had my laptop above the big external display, was running DX4WIN on big display and moving and watching the World Map on the laptop screen above.After re-arranging my shack, now in new Win 10 display config I have laptop and big display side-by-side, moving and running DX4WIN on the laptop (left) screen.Now, Clicking on Window/World map, nothing happens, I do not see Wrld map neither on the laptop screen or it's background, nor on the big display right to it. And also no icon related to the map on any of display taskbars... If you have try this: In the QSO window press F8 and search with these details Band = 10 M State = ND Then you have the QSOs on 10M locked with ND only In the bottom of the QSO windows below eQSL you have the permissions for the main awards. Here you have to see all the searched QSOs and find out whatever there is a S or C in the column WAS. If you cannot see these fields below the eQSL line, press F5 one or more times.
