Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN, SDRuno and FTdx-101D

2020-05-20 Thread Tim moore
I'm doing it, except with HDSDR. There are several keys. The order you
start the programs, the polling rates, and the Virtual Com splitter
program are all critical (I use LPB2 v 1.0.8). It was tricky to get it
all working, but I did. You've got my number, give me a ring.

[Dx4win] DX4WIN, SDRuno and FTdx-101D

2020-05-20 Thread Bert Garcia
I have DX4WIN and my FTdx-101D working together. I have SDRuno and my
FTdx-101D working together. But I can't get all three working together
using virtual com ports.

Has anyone solved this problem using DX4WIN? I know it has been done with
Ham Radio Deluxe, but I'm not interested in moving to HDR.

Re: [Dx4win] QSL manager

I wanted to finish off this thread.

QSL managers are stored in the country file. Before DX4WIN 9.0x, the
country file was saved every time you exited DX4WIN. In DX4WIN 9.0x,
that is not the case. The country file is read-only. There is a
separate file in the SAVE directory named "usrexcpt.dat". This file
contains all changes you have made to either callsign prefixes or QSL
managers, and is saved every time you exit DX4WIN. Therefore, once
there is an error in this file, simply installing the latest country
file will not fix the problem.

I told Paul to delete this file, and his QSL manager in error disappeared.

I generally don't ever look at this file. It usually only contains
mistakes I made while logging, for example, assigning the wrong CQ
zone to a USA callsign.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you find an error with
either the country prefix associated with a callsign, or a QSL
manager, please let me know via E-mail so I can fix the master
database (country file). Then everyone will benefit from the
correction.

2020-05-20 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
The DX4WIN country file, DX4WIN.CTY Release #20.10 is now available from:

http://www.country-files.com/dx4win-info/

You can read the release notes at:

http://www.country-files.com/dx4win-cty-20.10-20-may-2020/

DX4WIN 9 users should use Help | Check for Updates from the main menu.
Note that there may be a delay between this announcement and when the
updated country file is actually available.

Users of older versions of DX4WIN should use the DX4WIN Data Updater:

Please inform me of any corrections.
