Re: [Dx4win] IOTAs and DX4WIN
Thanks Jim, I have not done this for DXCC or any other award. I just use the ARRL/LOTW website and the RSGB IOTA website for IOTA's to track my award status. I do have 5BDXCC and over 700 IOTA's cfm'd.. But when I have quiet day with no distractions I will give it a try. Thank you for the very detailed instructions but it will take me awhile to figure them out. 73 & Merry Christmas Alan Zack Amateur Radio Station K7ACZ -Original Message- From: Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2020 09:22 AM To: k7...@cox.net Cc: Kostas SV1DPI ; DX4WIN Reflector Subject: Re: [Dx4win] IOTAs and DX4WIN On Wed, Dec 16, 2020 at 12:04 AM Alan Zack K7ACZ wrote: > Yes, I make submissions on line from IOTA Contest logs, LoTW and ClubLog > confirmations. > Also thru my IOTA card checker when I only have a card, no electronic > submission. Read my application note on DXCC Award Tracking: https://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.html The IOTA award flag(s) work exactly the same way. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] IC-9100 Rig File
Jim, Thanks for the guidance. The IC-9700 rig file DID NOT WORK with the IC-9100. The IC-7100 "No auto-on" rig file DOES WORK with the IC-9100 when changing the radio address to 7C and the baud to 19200 (remove the 2 "Default check marks"). My radio Baud was set to 19200 and also tried AUTO on the IC-9100 CI-V Baud Rate settings (60). Both worked. The com port was the IC-9100 first port (A) that was created by the ICOM downloaded Silicon Labs Com Port driver. In my case the Com Port driver created Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge Com 10 and Com 11. Port 10 worked, port 11 did not work. Terry, try the IC-9700 driver: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/radios/index.html#ICOM You will have to change the address code from "A2" to "7C". And make sure you get the baud rate right. Please report back to the reflector if it works for you. The IC-7100 driver may also work, and may be a better starting point. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
