[Dx4win] DOK in version 9.09
Hi all, I wonder what happened here. In earlier versions, the DOK was saved as "DOK". Now it is saved as "DLD". See attached screenshot. The QSO of 29.01.2011 has DOK / S50. Bit nothing is shown in the QSO data window. Is there anything I have to take care of not to loose data because of this inconsistency? Many thanks. 73s Chris DL1MGB __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Export filters
Hi all, it also seems that my export filters are gone after the last update to 9.09. Is it just my fault I didn't follow any backup procedure or is there anything else I can do to get them back? 73s Chris DL1MGB __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Export filters
Hello again, in a very old backup, I found a NDR file which I created when printing the filter. Can I use this anyhow to get my filter running again? 73s Chris DL1MGB Am 04.09.2021 um 10:01 schrieb Christian Janssen DL1MGB: > Hi all, > > it also seems that my export filters are gone after the last update to 9.09. > Is it just my fault I didn't follow any backup procedure or is there anything > else I can do to get them back? > > 73s Chris DL1MGB > __ > DX4WIN mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Export filters
In parallel, when trying to edit a new filter, the version 9.09 filter edit seems to be a bit buggy. When entering a callsign with position 1 and length 20, it creates the callsign starting with column 2. There is no way to start at 1. OK, let's start at 2. Then entering the band, starting at 23, length 3. When clikcing insert, band starts at 24 because the start of callsign was shifted to 3. Guess what when entering time...yes time starts not at 39, but at 40 and all the above field were shifted +1. and so on and so on... Unfortunately, not useable. Or do I have to do anything to get it working? I normally assume that the software is not buggy, but I am too stupid to use it :-) 73s Chris DL1MGB Am 04.09.2021 um 11:32 schrieb Christian Janssen DL1MGB: > Hello again, > > in a very old backup, I found a NDR file which I created when printing the > filter. Re: [Dx4win] Export filters
Hello Christian, For the DLD Award, Filter (F8) you log for DL contacts. Then, in the QSO window: QSO > Multiple QSOs Operations > Check Custom Awards This will convert them to the new award values. 73, Mike Cizek W0VTT -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Christian Janssen DL1MGB Sent: Saturday, 4 September, 2021 04:53 To: DX4WIN Mailingliste Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Export filters In parallel, when trying to edit a new filter, the version 9.09 filter edit seems to be a bit buggy. Re: [Dx4win] Export filters
It sounds like you may have exported your log, then imported it into the new version. There is no need to do that! After installing the new version, simply copy your log file (i.e. DL1MGB.dxl) from the old SAVE directory to the new SAVE directory. In the new version of the program, click on File | Open and navigate to the new SAVE directory, where you will find the copy of your log. Do *not* open the log in the old SAVE directory, otherwise, you may accidentally save it, and the old version will never be able to open it again. This preserves all your groups, filters, etc. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Export filters
Hi Jim, I didn't import/export the log when changing to the new version. I just made a backup and continued working with the same DXL file. 73s Chris Am 04.09.2021 um 22:08 schrieb Jim Reisert AD1C: > It sounds like you may have exported your log, then imported it into > the new version.
