Re: [Dx4win] Transferring Grid Locator

2021-09-29 Thread Berkin AYDOGMUS, TA3J
Dear Friends,

Here are the problems I face in DX4WIN when I transfer with ADIF format:

1. I cannot get the information about state, county, grid locator, IOTA and DIG
in DX4WIN.

2. In "Membership" I get E, EL, ELQ and L information.

3. In some QSO, there is "QSL date" information in others it is not present,
and "QSL date" is present.

4. In "Notes for this QSO" power information in present. What can I do in
prevent this?

I can send the log visions to friend interested in this.

Thanks for help.

If you export ADIF from your old program and import ADIF into DX4WIN,
the gride locators should transfer automatically. If it doesn't work,
post the results here.

[Dx4win] DX4WIN on Android?

2021-09-29 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Greetings,

Has anyone succeeded in running DX4WIN on an Android tablet or phone using
WINE or one of the other Windoze impersonators? Looking for a quick and
easy way to log mobile and portable QSOs when travelling. Thanx.

Re: [Dx4win] Transferring Grid Locator

Hello Berkin,

DX4WIN will import the WJ2O log directly. Have you tried that? Save a copy
of your existing log first. Then, from the menu bar at the top:

File > Import/export Scroll down to Wj2O (way at the bottom) Import

See what this does. If this doesn't work, can you paste a part of the ADIF
file from Wj2O into an email to the reflector? Just a few QSOs should be
enough, like this:

Re: [Dx4win] Transferring Grid Locator

2021-09-29 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
It looks like the Grid number is in the FLAGS field at the end:
/gFN54PS/u1160
FN54 is the right grid for N1AC

None of these guys are on an island, so there will be no IOTA number. Is
the DIG for the German Diploma Interessen Group? If so, that info goes in
the Custom Award field and I do not know how to transfer that automatically.
Maybe AD1C or KK4HD will be able to help.

I'm going to try to do something. I have the whole ADIF file. It may

2021-09-29 Thread Rick Murphy
Mike,

You're probably better off using a logging program on your Android device
and uploading the QSOs into DX4WIN.
For example,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blogspot.qsosecretary&hl=en_US&gl=US

(I haven't used it so am not endorsing, but this is one example app you
could use.)

Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN on Android?

2021-09-29 Thread Ernie

Mike,

I can' t help with running DX4WIN on Android, but can suggest a good
program to use on Android. I've been using the HAMRS program to log my
"Parks on the Air" activations and portable operations on my tablet and
then upload the ADIF file to DX4WIN. It is easily configurable for
various logging needs. It can be found at this web site: www.hamrs.app
or downloaded directly from the Google Play store. It does qualify as a
quick and easy way to log.

Thanks to all for the replies. Yes, using a native Android logger makes more
sense, but thought I’d ask. Besides, DX4Droid kinda has a nice ring to it… (-:
