Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Yields LOTW SUCCESS !

2024-07-07 Thread Bob Liddy (K8BL)
 FWIW...
I import ALL my QSOs from several sources into DX4WIN. These would be the
.ADIfiles from N1MM, WSJT, etc., from several computers. DX4WIN becomes my
masterQSO bank on my main radio computer and it is backed up regularly.
During the imports, DX4WIN asks what is to be done with duplicate QSOs and I
tellit to ignore them. Weekly, I export the non-duplicated QSOs from DX4WIN to
a .ADIfile which is then uploaded to LoTW.  It is all straightforward and goes
without a hitch.My DX4WIN currently has over 306K QSOs living there on a WIN7
Dell.

Glad to hear that it's working now, but when you said "without success", what
exactly happened? Did you get some kind of error message? How were you
uploading to LoTW?

For what it's worth, I always use the LOTW export out of DX4WIN after importing
from WSJT-X or anything else (e.g., N1MM). I would think if there was an actual
issue with the WSJT-X ADIF itself the development team would have been aware
and fixed it. Also since it seems to have imported into DX4WIN it shouldn't
have been corrupted.

Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Yields LOTW SUCCESS !

HI All,

All week I have been trying to upload my WSJT ADI file into LOTW w/o success.
Yet everyone says LOTW works.

SO, I took my DX4WIN log and exported it with the dates I wanted, and LOTW took
it right away correctly. DX4WIN saves the day !

I then downloaded the LOTW ADI Confirmations file into DX4WIN and got latest
Confirmations. Everything is GOOD  !

Some how the WSJT file got corrupted I guess.

 Cort,
The wsjt log file is in .adi format. I just copy it as is andimport it into
DX4WIN. Then, every now and then, I copythe whole thing again and import it
again and tell DX4WINto ignore duplicates. I've done this routine since 1/2018
andit works just fine. By now, the file is almost 18 Gb!!  HIHI

on how best to get the logs from WSJT to DX4WIN ver 9.09. I googled it

capable of setting this up. I struggle with Win 10 and my ham software
just keeping it running smoothly is a on-going battle. So any
help/ideas on how to set this up would be appreciated. I tried to have
DX4WIN open at the same time with WSJT but ended up with rig control
conflict so starting off bad already lol! Thanks, 73's Cort K4WI

For anyone following this thread, Jim just helped me find the problem:

In Awards, VUCC tab, the Start date for Confirmation, LOTW was set for
01/01/2018!!!  I don't know how that happened.  I reset it to 01/01/1983 to
be in sync with the start date for QSL card, and that seems to have fixed
the problem.  Hi, hi

Subject: [Dx4win] VUCC totals not accurate

After all these years, I am just starting to focus on VUCC and FFMA awards
for six meters.  For VUCC, my confirmed totals in DX4WIN are about 70 less
that my totals showing on LOTW.  (I have very few grids confirmed via QSL
card.)  When I open the VUCC window, it is also apparent that confirmations
for CW and SSB are not showing as C.  Under Reports, Awards, VUCC tab, I
have all modes selected.  The same thing happens when I run a VUCC report
listing - confirmations for CW and SSB on 6 meters do not show up as
confirmed.

For example, for EM09 in Kansas, LOTW shows that grid was confirmed with
AB0S.  When I look up that QSO in DX4WIN, the Confirm LOTW box is set for Y
- so it is marked as confirmed in DX4WIN.  But in the VUCC window, EM09 only
shows a W in the CW and SSB boxes-there should be a C in the CW box.  If I
double click on the 6 at the top, all of my QSOs with EM09 on 6 meters are
shown, and AB0S clearly shows that it was confirmed via LOTW.

So why are these CW and SSB confirmations not showing up in the VUCC window
and on the VUCC reports?
