[Dx4win] Re: Rig control

2003-12-15 Thread George M. Badger, III
 >1. What type of rig are you controlling?

IC756PROII, IC-910H & TS-850S

 >2. Which driver are you using?
DX4WIN default.

 >3. For your rig to function with this driver, do you have the RTS or
 DTR checked (set to 'high'.).

I use the CT-17 for the ICOMs and a MAX232 homebrew interface for the
Kenwood. Three wire control only, RXD, TXD & GND.

 >4. Have you made any useful changes to the driver you chose?

No, the existing driver works for me. But I would like to be able to
make some changes like filter control, etc.

After I log a QSO from a spot I notice it disappears. Has it always done
this, is this a new "feature" or have I inadverdently changed a setting
with my phat phingers? I'm running the latest & greatest, v6.02.

[Dx4win] Re: adding QSL managers

2003-05-25 Thread George M. Badger, III
I get the following error message whenever I am updating or adding
managers.

"An exception occurred.
Access violation and address 004046C2 in dx4win.exe. Read of address
F685D88B". The read of address changes each time. The info updates OK
but does anyone know what the message refers to?

[Dx4win] Re: lost everything

2003-02-04 Thread George M. Badger, III
Bummmer, but as stated by others, all should NOT be lost. There should
be a .~xl and/or .dxl file in there somewhere.

I wrote a little script that I use at the end of every day that backs up
all my data files on to a zip disk from Palm, Quicken, DX4WIN and
others. I run it from the "Start Menu". One could also run it from a
chron job so it's automatic.

BTW, I know lots of you like XP but IMHO it is a very invasive program
and I personally don't care for that. Same reason I don't use IE or any
of that ilk. Just 'cause it's newer is not a reason to change. I have
found win2k pro a very stable platform. I just wish there were more
Linux applications, or that I had the time to write some.

[Dx4win] Re: log path

2002-02-19 Thread George M. Badger, III
1-Go to "File" and pull down and click on "Save As". Browse through to
the path you want and click "Save".

2-Go to "File" and pull down and click on "Open". Browse through to the
path you just set and click "Open".

It is now set.

I've gone into the dx4win.ini file in the SAVE folder and changed my
fonts, and other things to personalize my dx4win. I recommend that you
back up or save that file before you change it.

Have fun, your mileage may vary.
