[Dx4win] Secondary backup directory error
When closing DX4WIN I got the following message: "Error using secondary backup directory".. I have not received this message before. Can anyone help me resolve this message? [Dx4win] Generating a report which selects only QRP QSOs
I have historically generated a report of QRP QSOs per year and then massaged the data from which I determined how many QRP countries I have worked both for the year and total. This was done by checkmarking, ("x") a list of country identifiers and summing the "x"es. Is there a way to get this information from DX4WIN? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Jim, Yes, the problem is solved. Mike referred me to Kostas's instruction sheet, which worked perfectly. Re: [Dx4win] Printing labels for newly received Bureau QSL cards.
Zoran, Thanks for the suggestions. I confirmed Label and Cnfm boxes were checked "Y" and entered the QSL Date. I was able to search for the QSL Date, retrieve the data and print the labels. 73, Jim, AA8OY On Fri, Jan 27, 2023 at 8:50 PM WA7AA wrote: > On 27-Jan-23 16:48, Jim Pyle wrote: > > Today I received an envelope of cards of which about 20-30 requested QSL > > cards in return. [Dx4win] Printing labels for newly received Bureau QSL cards.
Today I received an envelope of cards of which about 20-30 requested QSL cards in return. I went into DX4WIN and changed the N to Y in the Label Cnfm box for the cards in question. Now, the problem is to print labels for just the cards I entered today. I don't think I can use Selection to create a group of these cards because the log has about 55,000 entries and the dates on the cards range from1997 into 2021. I don't want to erase existing "Y" Cnfm for the 29,000+ QSOs that have it. Anyone having suggestions on how to print labels would be welcomed! 73, Jim, AA8OY __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Importing .adi files and converting them to DXL file format
FYI, I'm a new user trying to get DX4WIN up and running. Following a computer failure, I've been looking at ways to recover my log file QSOs. With the help of others, a number of recovery efforts were made which were only partially successful. I'm ready to try to download my LOTW.adi file and convert it to a DXL file which is readable by DX4WIN. Can someone walk me through the conversion process? I also want to merge WSJT .adi files into my main log. I assume it would be the same as the LOTW conversion. Last and also important to me is uploading QSOs to LOTW. It is not clear to me how to make a selection and then submit it to LOTW. I haven't found the instructions for this. Input from the reflector would be greatly appreciated. [Dx4win] Moving logs to DX4WIN & opening a packet cluster window
I would like any information that provides directions to convert MacLogger DX (MLDX) logs to a format that can be read by DX4WIN.. I have about 50,000 QSOs I'd really like to bring in. How do I create an adi file that contains all the data, not just the condensed type sent to ARRL? I'm also very interested in the steps to open a packet cluster window in DX4WIN. Can anyone help me with this? I had it open once but must admit I don't know how I opened it. It was fully functional in that clicking on a spot moved it to the QSO field. I've only had the program installed for about a week and a lot of it has yet to be tried.
