Is it possible to connect TS990 via USB for radio controlling in Dx4win? I installed driver from Kenwood site as COM3. I have change in radio USB to 9600 baud and dx4win also. But software is hanging. I discovered that my microKEYER was indeed connected to a root hub, but was sharing the port with a USB print driver. But that's not the most interesting part! Some time ago, I had installed a PCI to USB 2.0 adapter because the 4 USB ports on the back of my Dell Dimension E310 were not enough (mouse, keyboard, label printer, microKEYER, UPS, wireless network). The microKEYER was plugged into one of the USB ports on the PCI adapter. I noticed that I did have one free USB port on the PC (native to the motherboard) so I moved the microKEYER to that port. Now when I checked the Windows XP Device Manager, I found that the microKEYER was all by itself (no sharing). But I also found that DX4WIN was now MUCH responsive to logging QSOs. Often times, I had to wait 1 or more seconds for DX4WIN to catch up with polling the radio, the computer would essentially freeze. That problem seems to have completely disappeared! I will have to watch for a few days to see if the random frequency corruption problem is also gone (DX4WIN would occasionally log a frequency that was 100x higher than it should be, i.e. 1,807,708 KHz instead of 18,077 KHz). So if you are having problems with DX4WIN and microKEYER, check whether the keyer is connected to a USB root hub, is all by itself on that hub, and whether it's plugged into a port directly attached to the motherboard. I can't believe I've been suffering from this problem for so long, when the fix was so simple! I'm finding it al in the help file setting preferences/preferences CW . to hookup a CW interface via com. setting/preferences preferences/RADIO to hookup a radio and finaly ALT+K to have the keyboard menu coming up in dx4win ! Howdy Guy's This is how dx4win works. When you are real time logging and from the moment you hit f9 with radio on .When a spot is coming it changed a few seconds to that spot mode and band while checking your log to see you need it or not !Nothing happens with the radio and after 2 seconds (probely longer or shorter with a slower/faster pc) the radio freq and mode is displayed.Now it is coming From the moment you type in the callsignfield , the spots who flow in are not changing the radio freq and mode in the log window because you are in real mode logging.From the moment you log a station (ENTER) it all start over. Hi I'm still waiting to upgrade to 7.01.I see comments of bugs in the new version. But I don see any reaction for bugs from the programmer to the group! Have to wait another year or 2 for a new upgrade and pay again ? Look at N1MM contest software.Free and if a bug is found they try to have a fix very quickly. I have now Winkey (ASCII CW KEYER) for my rigs but asked to import in dx4win but got not even a reaction. I like Dx4win but a quicker response from the programmer to the reflector would that be nice and also a good advertisement for this program ! Marc on4ma

Hi, I want to import my contestlog from n1mm in to dx4win. Some years ago I had a small program in dos to convert CT logs into dx4win.But lost it where in the dx4win NOTE FOR THIS QSO wass filled in with wat I want like a special pfx or contest name . I imported the adif file ,buth I see in the Notes field FREQ and QSO nr.. Sure I did not save the imported qso's. Is there any program who can do a conversion ? [Dx4win] Icom 756 pro - dx4win help needed
My friend ON5TN Karel have some little problem with dx4win and his 756 pro.Every time starting dx4win ,the program can not find the rig.Radio time out ,and then he have a windown Error in module dx4win 5cx etc etc After dx4win is running and do a Start radio it is working.Whe even tried to slow down the baud rate and change the polling rate buth still got that problem. Shoud whe change the adress on both sides ? Any help pse ,could already be in the archives ,pse reply direct to me on4ma marc

I think its no possible from dx4win ,but can be done easy in MICROSOFT WORD 95-98-2000.
