[Dx4win] CAT
Hello all Using a Yaesu FT1000MP Mark V, I have just upgraded from v5.03 to v6.02 of DX4Win. Previously, the CAT light was on continuously on the rig. Now it blinks all the time, also creating some noise when it does (on 20m). Anyone using the same rig, having the same "trouble" or having found the solution ? [Dx4win] Partial log
Hi all Using v6.02 Can I make a selection (in my instance, the QSO for which I want to request a card a second time - easy selection : filetr for QSL field = Y) and save it as a different and provisional log ? Selections are still part of my F6EXV log file, but can I export just these QSOs into a new logfile ?
[Dx4win] Ideas
Hi all ! Would a lot of people think it a good idea to make provisons for 2 different managers for the same DX call (so far I know you can do that) BUT in the instance of K1B where there are two different managers (or more, one for each mode as was the case) ? Or is it not worth the trouble, as these instances remain scarce ? In terms of awards and QSL card printing, it is worth working on the possibility to re-print cards for band/modes that are still needed , kind of automatically ? Am I understood ? Or let me phrase it differently... Is it worth having an easy way to ask for the needed band/modes cards to be re-printed ? ( I occasionnaly will resend these cards - non-needed going via bureau all the time) Is it worth having the possibility to see the countries needed perband AND per mode ? f I am not mistaken, so far you can only choose either of them, but not for example the needed countries on 20m SSB ? Same could apply to WPX ... for the worked ones. Just ideas, maybe not worth the trouble... 73 Paul F6EXV

Hi all ! Who is using DX4Win connected to a FT1000MP Mark V ? I am experiencing something that did not happen before with version 5 : the CAT light keeps blinking, and creates a light QRN when it does, on 20m. [Dx4win] Ignore mode
Hi again Once a problem is solved, another one comes up ! Now I have my Flex communicate with DX4Win I am working in FT8 mode on 30m, so I have selected "Ignore mode in real time", otherwise QSOs will be logged as RTTY, which I do not want. BUT the "Ignore mode in real time" goes off after I log a QSO. Why is it not frozen ? Hi all I had a problem (power cut) and had to reinstall, and update. All this went OK. That is latest version 9.04.1176 If I remember correct, when I was doing a search on the packed window (connected to VE7CC), the result was shown on the DX Spots window. This no longer is the case. [Dx4win] Strange behaviour
Hi all I have worked SM1IRS which is a valid callsign (confirmed on Lotw) It has a Y in the Label field, which I want to change into an N. When I do that, I get a message saying "bad callsign", and the QSO appears txwice in the log . The second appearance has a Y in the label field I have tried erasing the QSO and entering it again, I get the same issue. Hi all I am trying to modify an adif file so as to get a field to be imported into the "Notes for this QSO" box. What should be the header of the field ? Comment ? Note ? something else ? Is this "Notes for this QSO" field one of the adif definition ? For example, when I import an adif file created by DXLog, I would like the phrase "CQWW SSB" to be copied into the "Notes for this QSO" field. Hi all Using DX4Win version 9.0.7.1230 on Windows 10. I have run the data updater many many times over the last year. The process seams to go nicely. So far, I have never used the custom award selection box. Tring to input a province for the WAIP award (all Italian provinces), I search the award with the arrow, but it does not appear there, while is it supposedly included in the custom award box choices. How can I REALLY update this database ? Hi all Ideas for development : 1/ Be "warned" when a QSO is a dupe For example, when we import a contest log, we work the same stations over and over again. It wouod be nice to get a warning, or a message being copied automatically into the "Notes for this QSO" for example, that this is a dupe. This dupe info should also be notified for a standard QSO, being input the normal way. 2/ Link the FT8 programs, so a QSO entered there is automatically transfered to DX4Win, without going through the import procedure. 3/ Allow automatic upload to Clublog, which MANY of us are using. If many users support these developments, maybe they will be taken care of... [Dx4win] Export to special ADIF
Hi all It looks like my log in JTDX is corrupt. So I would like to export my DX4Win log to adif format, but only those fields that are stored by the normal operation of JTDX. These are call, gridsquare, mode, rst sent, rst recvd, qso date, time on, time off, band, freq, (my) station callsign, my gridsquare. Any help on how to achieve that please ? [Dx4win] ADIF
Hi all Following an update of JTDX yesterday, JTDX does not deam to reckognize the log anymore. I deleted it (in jtdx), then I exported my FT8 QSO from DX4Win to adif format, named that file wsjtx_log.adi and copied it onto the JTDX file. Of course there are many fields that JTDX nprmally does not save,, but there are also missing ones (date off and time off for example). Anyway, now all CQ are considered new country, and stations worked before are not identified. I struggled with the adif file, tried a lot of changes, but nothing works... I tried to use Adif Master to modify the exported file, but cannot fill empty boxes (for example my callsign column should have F6EXV everywhere). Hi Dan Re garding dupes, I do not mean during a contest (every contest program will do that) but for the general log. Example I have run a specific contest program, and have exported to an adif file. I need to import this file into DX4Win. Hi all To the developper team, Can we caress the hope of having next release to allow dX4Win to interoperate with WSJT/JTDX for direct logging, automatic upload to ClubLog, automatic/easy procedure to upload/download to/from LoTW. LoTW/ aand Clublog operation has an application that works well with other logging f=programs : it is called L32LogSync. Could something equivalent be expected ? Hi Guy, Hi all I am not a specialist, but what is the problem when the FT8 (to make it short) programs get the frequency from the rig (therefore is correct), logs it into the adif file that everyboidy knows about, and DX4Win can "eat" that informlation automatically ? I see no room for mistakes... Well, I must admit I see no way how you can make a mistake using ythose programs and call o the wrong period, like several people have done. If yoy doucble-click on the station you want to call, there is no way you can do a mistake,... Anyway, this is another matter... Which other programs do not have the UDP broadcast ? Anyone here using them ? Or just the 3 you mentioned ? [Dx4win] LoTW verified
Hi all What would be the procedure to have the credits for the various DXCC awards show as validated on the log ? In other words, right now I do not have any QSO/QSL showing as validated (credited) I have downloaded the "DXCC QSL download" file, but what do I do with it ? OI want to avoid doing something wrong, and this would concern thousands of QSOs ...
