Jim Larry--thanks for the responses!
I am connected to K2UT---FRC node in Medford NJ usually---It is near to my
QTH.
I connect using TCP/IP protocol (com port), i.e. the internet.
Receiving the spots in Dx4win works just fine. When I see the spot I have
just announced, using 'Announce Dx' from Dx4win it always shows up in the
remark column appended/following the remark without a spacewith the
spotter column left blank. I have tried other packet nodes in the past, with
the same result!
funny business---huh?
Thanks again---Ed W3EWR

Ed, what packet node are you connected to? Is it RF or Internet (telnet)?
This sounds like a problem with your cluster node, not the program.

Current operation YJ0ADX starting 25 February 2006 is via DL9NDS. A
prior operation was via JE1DXC.
