Here's how the country.dat issue was resolved.

As the Administrator, the country.dat file was removed from the DX4WIN Save
folder.
As non Administrator a 01 February 2022 country.dat file was copied into
the DX4WIN Save folder.

This different country.dat file allowed DX4WIN to start normally with no
issue.

I suspect during the DX4WIN "Check For Updates" process the country.dat
file was downloaded and installed in DX4WIN as a protected file. Just a
guess.

Hi Paul,

The country file was not removed from the save directory.
Country.dat 2/3/2022 6,536 kb is still in the save directory.
I cannot delete or change it.

If I switch to administrator I can run DX4WIN.
BUTI never ever remain as administrator.

How do I fix this?
