Re: [Dx4win] JT65 signal reports

2013-09-03 Thread Jim - N4ST
John,
I use WSJTX and JT-Alertx when working JT65a and JT9-1.
There is a configuration option to write the mode and signal reports to the
comment field.
I am using a different logging program and this works fine with it and then
I can import into DX4WIN the info in the comment field.
You might see if it possible to write the ADIF file directly with the mode
and signal report in the comment field which could then be imported to
DX4WIN.
Never tried it , so don't know for sure.

Jim - N4ST

Subject: [Dx4win] JT65 signal reports

I see this has been discussed before by browsing the Archives but didn't
find a solution.
I'm running version 8.04 and maintaining a group log with imports from
various other logging programmes which include JT65 QSOS with negative
signal reports. However DX4Win wont accept a negative report and records a
default 599. I need to be able to record a negative report in the correct
field for QSLing

Has there been a fix or upgrade I missed?

[Dx4win] JT65 Signal Reports?

2012-05-16 Thread Tom Clark
Previously I asked for a slight modification to the "599" signal report
in DX4WIN for JT65 users. In JT65, the signal report is the
signal-to-noise ratio in dB. Actually it is the signal/(signal+noise)
ratio, so the value is ALWAYS negative. S/N = -10 dB is a strong
signal, S/N=-25 dB is weak.

The requested change is that the field allow a minus (-) sign, with a
format "-nn" in addition to the implicit positive number.
In addition to the sign, the numeric range needs to be widened;
RST=00-10 is rejected, while RST=11 and higher passes the test.

Has anything happened on my earlier request? Is there any hope for us
JT65 users other than sticking signal reports into notes fields? Are
there any other JT65 users that are similarly frustrated?
