Select the radio as Kenwood, and the baud rate should be fixed at 4800.
Ensure that DTR and RTS are high, as they likely provide the power to your
level converter. I highly suspect that this is your problem.
Make sure that it is the correct com port that the radio is connected to (ie
Com 1).

Well thank you for the reply, but what I am looking for is the settings in
DX4WIN for this particular radio.

It should be pretty straight forward. You can use TS-450 as well. Sounds
like there might be a problem with the interface, so you might want to try
some other software.
Make sure the baud rates match (if I remember Kenwood is fixed at 4800
baud
something like N82).
You should be able to open something like Hyperterminal, set it up on the
com port for the radio at 4800 and move the VFO. At that point, data
should
flow across the screen.

Can someone give me their parameters for setting up a Kenwood TS-690S
with
DX4WIN 5.02
I have tried all three choices from the program and not having any luck.
Before I blame my homebrew IK2BCP interface I want to make sure I have
the
proper data going to the radio.
Thanks,
Bob, W3PT
