[Dx4win] PSK-31 Help!!!! FIXED IT!!!!!

Art, why don't you input your audio from the computer to your AF IN on the
accessory socket instead of the mic input?

Regarding the colume control on the LINE IN of the soundcard, remember there
are a lot of uses of the soundcard in various people's hands. You have a
mic gain on the radio so that you can vary the modulation. You have a
volume control on the LINE IN of your soundcard for the same reason. YOu
also have a volume control on the MIC input for the same reason. Depending
on exactly what you are feeding to the soundcard, you will want to adjust
the strength of the input.

I'm also guessing you're feeding audio from the rig to the LINE IN of the
soundcard? That would be better done using the AF OUT of the ACC socket -
That would result in a constant signal not affected by your VOL control on
the rig.

Forgive me if I'm way off on what you are trying to do. 73 - John, WA9ALS

I had the volume control for the 'Line In' un-muted.
I muted it and that fixed it. I'm back on PSK31...
Now that raises a question.. Why is there a volume
control for 'Line In'? That should be a steady sig..

Notes for THIS CALL will be copied to all notes blocks for that call.
Notes in the THIS QSO block will only appear in that one QSO and will
not be copied to THIS QSO blocks for additional contact with that same
station. Took me awhile to figure out that difference between the two.

[Dx4win] PSK-31 Help!!!!

2006-01-31 Thread Art - W6KY
I have been running PSK-31 for a year simply using 2
cables from the CPU to the rig. Line in and Spkr out
to mike plug of the 756PRO. Suddenly my RX is coming
out of my PC speaker output triggering the VOX on the
756. So I am in a catch 22. The RX data goes right
back to the PRO instantly triggering TX on the PRO. I
have never had this problem before and now I have it
on 2 computers. This isn't a function of DX4WIN cuz
'any' line in signal comes out thru the speakers. I
have tried every setting with no success. I can mute
the PC speakers, but then I have NO output PSK
signal. HELP
