Yes, Pete there is supposed to be a way to do this. In 8.05, try this: QSL | Mark QSL band/mode Out of my 100K QSOs, 30K were so marked this way. I did a spot check of a few calls and it appeared to do what you want. Make sure to use the F8 trick to filter out USA stations (you could always clear the flags for USA [or other] stations after the fact, using a filter). I don't know what happens if the "QSL Date" field is set to a date, whether a label is still generated or not (you already sent a card). I suspect NO but I did not check for this. NOTE: If a QSO is marked as Confirmed by either LoTW or eQSL, you will still get a label print flag. This operation only considers the QSL status, not the eQSL or LoTW status. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Pre-emptive QSLing
For the 2nd question F8 and write in prefix !K (the USA prefix) and under label=y Then you will get all the non USA stations with label = yes For the 1st question i am not sure but i think that dx4win will mark every needed card depennding in your dxcc settings... But i don't use it, so i don't know 73 Kostas sv1dpi - Original Message - From: "Pete Smith N4ZR" To: Sent: Wednesday, August 24, 2011 5:01 PM Subject: [Dx4win] Pre-emptive QSLing >I am getting back to DX4WIN after a couple of years away, and just > updated to 8.05. [Dx4win] Pre-emptive QSLing
I am getting back to DX4WIN after a couple of years away, and just updated to 8.05. In previous versions, there was a way to mark for QSL only those *DX* stations to which I had not previously sent a QSL for the same band/mode combination. I tried QSLs>Mark QSL Band/Mode, but it marked all QSOs, including W stations. Is there a way to do what I used to be able to do in one step? Alternatively, is there a way to use filtering to select W/K stations out of the group of stations marked Label = Y, so that I can clear their label flags? -- 73, Pete N4ZR The World Contest Station Database, updated daily at www.conteststations.com The Reverse Beacon Network at http://reversebeacon.net, blog at reversebeacon.blogspot.com, spots at telnet.reversebeacon.net, port 7000 __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] pre-emptive QSLing
Hi Thor I suggest to print first the SV qsos (hi hi) By the way tnx for the qso on 160m band and confriming this on lotw very quickly Probably you will print direct onthe cards so why you have more than . When you reach at the last stage (report setup) you will choose destination (between printer and preview) and Pages(between All-Range). Voila You will select Range and tell it from 1-100. So you will print the first hundred cards After this 101-200, etc I suggest not to print more than 100 cards (from my expierence) and after every succesfull printing, clear the flags and save your file. ... and pse print first the SV cards (hi hi) 73 Kostas SV1DPI - Original Message - From: "Pete Smith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Thorvaldur Stefansson, TF4M" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2008 2:53 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] pre-emptive QSLing > Hi Thor - Thanks for your note - I didn't remember that my article was on > AD1C's web site. > > Try this as a test. Hi Thor - Thanks for your note - I didn't remember that my article was on AD1C's web site. Try this as a test. Hit F8 and search for a prefix for which you have relatively few QSOs (JT?). Then click on Labels|Set Print Flag rather than Mark for QSL. The program will ask you "Set label field in QSOs matching filter?" Click yes, and it will mark only the JT QSOs. I don't know about the limit - I just did a simulated print run with my entire log - over 100,000 QSOs - and the program said it was ready to print every one. There could be such a limit in the printing, not just in the previewing, but it isn't visible. [Dx4win] pre-emptive QSLing
I have begun the task of QSLing via the Bureau for my various operations and different call signs. It is clearly not economical to send out QSL cards to all contacts, and I have beentaking a look at the QSL Management softwary BV by DF3CB, but I was completely unable to get it to work with my printer and I gave up. It is also too much work to go through hundreds of pounds of QSL cards and mark them one by one as received. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to see that apparently DX4WIN supports printing only the first QSO on a Band/Mode, ignoring subsequent QSOs on duplicate Bands/Modes for printing. http://www.ad1c.us/dx4win/appnotes/nr2.htmrefers. This would eventually reduce the QSL load greatly as only new stations or new Bands/Modes would be printed out the next time. When going to Mark QSOs and printing to preview it appears that only QSOs will be printed. This could well be a ?feature ?of the preview only, in that the preview only shows the printout up to pages, but I would like to be certain before attempting such a large printout. I tried to Mark QSOs only for a specific country like ?JA' but Mark QSOs clearly dealt with the entire log only and ignored my search criteria. As my first batch of cards will be more than 20,000 cards - this is out of more than 40,000 QSOs, I am wondering if there is a workaround for this? Thanks for any help. Thor,TF4M
