Re: [Dx4win] QO-100 and Q65

2021-10-28 Thread ON4AOI
Tibor,
That works also since LoTW doesn't check for up and down band
but your log on LoTW remains not correct because
You will have both Band and Rx band = 3cm and should be 13cm and 3cm

Subject: R: [Dx4win] QO-100 and Q65

Hi guys.
I am quite active on QO100 since may, this year.
Uptoday i made some 230 QSO logging them with my DX4WIN.
I must say that I uploaded my log to LOTW and downloaded reports with
confirmations.
All is ok for me.
My experience is different of what has been advised by Guy.
I log my QSO100 QSO in this way:
Band: SAT
Mode: SSB Sub Mode SSB (or the mode performed) Sat name: QO-100 Sat
mode:Other.
My IC9700 is not cat controlled so Freq (khz) in the input qso window remain
blanck.
In this way I log my QSO and I receive confirmations via LOTW.
I do not manually edit the file that has to be upload to LOTW.

Regards, 73 de Tibor, IK2SAI

Hi,
Here is how I do it and below also for Q65 qso's

Example

Log "call:xx" with Band = SAT ==> this has been always the case for SAT
qso's Sat Name = QO-100 Sat Mode = other With cat connected your freq ~
2400.890

To upload on LoTW or any other logtracker You need to edit first your
exportname.ADI

Do a search after 3cm and replace it with 13cm Save the
*.adi and upload

For Q65 qso's I log Mode = MFSK and Submode - JS8 (can be any other submode
that you don't need)

To upload on LoTW or any other logtracker You need to edit first your
exportname.ADI Do a search after SUBMODE:3>JS8 and replace it with
SUBMODE:3>Q65 Save the *.adi and upload

That's it

You don't say what mode you used, but for BAND you should select SAT, not
13cm.

Congrats to ON4AOI, Guy for the contest on QO-100. Bo should be QRV

Hi Joe,

I saw you have already uploaded Bo his QO-100 qso's on LoTW

the band seems to be ok and is corrected to SAT

But you didn't corrected the Receive band (marked in Red)

All qso's can be set to QO-100 in DX4WIN

Sat mode need to be set to other now

I made a demo qso with BO here below (will work hime one of the
following

days)

After you did export to LoTW you get the following

DX4WIN ADIF Export http://www.dx4win.com

DX4WIN

9.0.9.1260

20210731 075540 OX3LX
2400.80500

OX3 237 NA SSB QO-100

SAT 3cm 3cm 59

20210731 Y Y

20210731 Q OZ0J
BO

Before you use TQSL

Open the adif with textpad or any other good editor and

Do a search and replace

3cm with 13CM

Now all QO-100 qso's will have correct RX and TX band

Afterwards TQSL and your done.

Concerning the labels I suggest the following (that's what I do)

Band is/was correct with SAT in it

Since BO will be active for +/- 14 days on QO-100

You can use the Greetings line in preferences|Rep/Lab

And fill something in like this

QSO via QO-100 13cm up / 3cm down

Re: [Dx4win] QO-100 Satellite QSL label?

2021-07-31 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Hello Joe,

You do not need the frequencies on the card. DXCC Rule 1q states:
q) Satellite: Contacts must be made using satellites since March 1, 1965.
Confirmations must indicate satellite QSO. Satellite contacts do not count
toward any awards noted in a) through p) above.

When filling out the card, use SAT for the band. You may indicate which
satellite was used, but it looks like DXCC does not have endorsements for
different satellites or frequencies. DXCC rules may be found here:
http://www.arrl.org/dxcc-rules

Hi

OX3LX has put Greenland on the QO-100 "map" and worked some QO-100 satellite
QSOs. I am the QSL MGR and will make the paper QSL cards.

According to the information, I have received, I need to type up- and
downlink QRG on the QSL card. Is there any way, I can print the up- and
downlink QRG on e.g. a QSL label? And if so, in which field in DX4WIN do I
put in the information? I can put it in as a group but I am looking for
another solution.
