[Dx4win] QRZ.COM Logbook
Is anyone downloading their DX4WIN log to the QRZ.COM logbook? QRZ.COM seems to have a good thing going here. It saves your log to a cloud backup provides another way of keeping track of your contacts and when the other station confirms the contact. How are you doing the ADIF download to the QRZ.COM? Their user guide states: The QRZ Logbook, available to all QRZ registered users, is a feature that enables users to log their on-air contacts (QSO's) with worked stations into QRZ's Cloud Database. The advantages of QRZ's database include the ability to access your logs from any internet connected computer, anywhere in the world. In addition, millions of other QSO's reside in the same database providing for easy match-up and operating award verification. Either or both of the parties of a QSO may enter a record into the QRZ database for awards credit. Records may be manually entered or imported from ADIF files. The user has full control over what appears in its logbook and may add, delete, or edit any unconfirmed record at will. Periodically the system will compare the user's records with all others in the QRZ Cloud Database and automatically indicate confirmed status when matching records agree with sender/receiver callsigns, band, mode and date/time within a 30 minute window. Confirmed records are automatically applied to operating awards. Lacking a confirmation, a user may choose to forward a confirmation request to another QRZ Logbook user. Re: [Dx4win] QRZ.com XML Lookup in DX4WIN
I would love a one-button feature to print a QSL label and a mailing label for the current QSO, using my Dymo label printer. One shortcoming DX4WIN has today is that you will NOT get a mailing label if the QSL Manager field is not filled in. This means if you want to send direct QSLs to fixed stations (say, all the new USA prefixes you worked in the last WPX contest), there is no easy way to print a batch of QSO and QSL labels (say on Avery 5160 30 labels per sheet) and have all the address labels interleaved with the QSO labels, so you can sit at a card table (no computer access) with a stack of blank QSLs, envelopes, stamps and the printed labels and go to town. - Jim -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Is anyone else having difficulty accessing QRZ.COM today? My callsign lookup isn't working and attempts to access www.qrz.com in my web browser times out. Ernie W8EH ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

Hi All Thanks for your prompt help. Now working but, to be honest, I don't know why it wasn't working before! No doubt I'll be in trouble again soon (hi). 73 Bill GM0VIT - Original Message - From: Bill Henderson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 7:32 PM Subject: [Dx4win] QRZ.com Hi Can anyone get the qrz look up to work? I get as far as Callsign/Mgr lookup window but nothing beyond that. When I press enter nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Hi I've been asked by a number of you to give to give some explanation as to how I got the qrz look up to work. The honest answer to this is that I don't know what happened; it just started working. What was of value to me was the number of folk that emailed to let me know that their system worked and some confirmed that my settings were correct. I put it down to the cheap brand of electricity I'm feeding my computer with. I'll have to bite the bullet and buy some dearer stuff. 73 Bill GM0VIT - Original Message - From: Bill Henderson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 8:09 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] QRZ.com Hi All Thanks for your prompt help.
