[Dx4win] Re: DX4WIN and Linux
I would love a great contest program that would run on Linux for a M/M or a M/S. This is why I think this is off topic :-) I will post here if I have good success with a configuration easily reproducible or if I need Linux users to try some tricks on other Linux distributions different than mine. 73, Philippe Le mer 24/11/2004 ? 12:35, ARS NZ3O (Byron) FM29fx a ?crit : Not sure why you feel it is off-topic here, Philippe, but I'd love to hear if you have any success. Hello All I have an old machine here loaded with Susie Linux. I used Linux in my office when I was working it performed great for the tasks I set it up for. It is unused now because I could not find a way of running ham software on it. Dave Lindsay, GM4HQF Aberdeen Scotland --- avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean. Philippe I'm also very interested in running DX4Win under Linux. Using Slackware in the office but have a separate Windows 98SE computer for the shack and would dearly love to change the shack computer to Linux. I've got Windows only for DX4WIN and other little things. I've migrated quite all to Linux Box but... Why don't make a DX4LIN version? How do you thik about it, Paul? 73s de Leo, IZ5FSA PS: DX4LIN don't necessary mean for free, isn't it? - Original Message - From: John Fleming [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 1:03 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Re: DX4WIN and Linux Not sure why you feel it is off-topic here, Philippe, but I'd love to hear if you have any success.
