Hi Jay,This is the link for ordering the ci-V interface (it has FTDI chip; the others which do not use FTDI may not work om Win10 PC):https://www.ebay.com/itm/FTDI-USB-CAT-Programming-Cable-ICOM-CAT-CI-V-IC-7100-IC-7200-IC-7300-CT-17/151534920013?hash=item23482f614d:g:E1gAAOSwHuhfZBxG
Also on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Valley-Enterprises-Chipset-Control-Programming/dp/B004L0T4UM Start Windows Device Manager and display COM Ports.Insert the cable plug into IC7300 CI-V jack (REMOTE) and the USB plug to PC USB port. In device manager see the comport number of the new created comport. I port Properties set baud rate to 57600 (same as IC7300 default in DX4WIN/Radio tab). Set Radio COM Port in DX4WIN to same Port number of new detected Port in Device Manager (or you can change Port numbers to different numbers in Com Port Properties and in DX4WIN Radio Tab to be the same in both). If these Port numbers are different from one used in WSJT-x or other programs using the radio USB COM3 port, there will be no conflict. If you use win4icom application, it is also best to keep DX4WIN set to the CI-V port and out of the ic4win program which controls the radio on its COM3 USB port and connect other applications on win4icom Aux ports. Hope this helps. 73, Radi f6gnz Le mercredi 3 février 2021, 09:19:21 UTC+1, Radivoj Kar, F6GNZ <f6...@yahoo.com> a écrit : Jay, Yiu need ti use the ci-V to usb adapter and connect it to the ci-V remote port of ic7300. When connected to usb port of your PC, it will get the port number and use this number found in Device Manager and set the bit rate to the one defined in your ic7300 ci-V configuration. Then use com 3 only in wsjt-x. This will avoid comport conflicts. You can find ci-V adapter on Internet or make yourself from circuit diagrams found there.Another possivility of using only the existing usb comport 3 with several applications without conflict is to use very fine program called win4icom you can download from icom.va2fsq.com web site. 73, Radi f6gnz Envoyé depuis Yahoo Mail pour Android Le mer., févr. 3, 2021 à 4:58, Jay Chamberlain<ns4...@gmail.com> a écrit : Radi,I do not find a CI-V setting within DX4WIN on the Radio tab. The radio tab is set to Com 3 but the PSK control opens as Com 4. WSJT-x talks to the 7300 no problem. I change freqs ok. Logging pulls the freq from the 7300. I do have to have DW4WIN off to start WSJT-x or I get a conflict warning. The real problem comes when I try to open the PSK window in DX4WIN. When I go to settings and select the TX tab I see that the PPT it is set for com port 4, DTS. If I try to set it to Com port 3 I get an error message. If I have DX4WIN open and I try to also open WSJT-x I get the expected conflict error window.
