Well, I was assuming anyone who would be interested in this tutorial would already know. :) This tutorial is the first thing I am doing for the goldcowboy.com site, but there will be more. I think I'd much rather explain what a cambio is somewhere else on the site. I loved the part in large print about how it is the dollar, rather than the gold, that fluctuates in value (actually the real economic value of gold does fluctuate but, historically, not nearly as much as the dollar). Your explanation of what e-gold is and why one should use it is great stuff, but does it really belong in a tutorial about how to use the SCI? I would recommend putting the e-gold evangalism elsewhere on your site and focusing the SCI tutorial on the SCI. OK, makes sense, thanks. Once I am working on other sections of the site, I will take it out of the tutorial and place it somewhere else. I hasve worked on the tutorial all day today, and I have just realized how late it is again, so I will go to bed now. At any rate, I have added many more pages. I have inserted a page on the use of fastSCI and Click Two Cents (as suggested by JMR). I have several sample forms, and started a discussion on security (this one will need more work). Thanks to everyone who replied. Hi Folks, http://www.goldwatchtm.com/index.html Anybody has heard/used this e-gold spend management software. It's not really a mass autopay software but to manage your personal spends. -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- some general advice in this area - your e-gold account passphrase is the key to your e-gold account. the e-gold web site advises: Do not reveal your passphrase to any other web site or individual. and Never reveal your passphrase to anybody - not even to an employee of e-gold Ltd. or GSR. any software or script to cgi or program that utilizes the e-gold automation interface for account functions requires the input of an e-gold account passphrase. in the best case scenario you should only use software for this purpose that you write yourself. if you are unable to do that, you should obtain source code for the software you will use and build it yourself. if you are unable to do that, you are trusting your passphrase to a third party. e-gold's advice in this regard is stated above. jay w. [e-gold-list] 1933
I sent my buddy JSG Boggs this article about an expensive rare coin, and he sent the following reply, which he gave permission for me to share with you. Be sure to view my Boggs $5000 at the rump session, two Saturdays from now in Atlanta, GA! JMR +++ j.ray, As you can see, many things took place in '33. You are among the very few who know a 'few' of the deeper meanings and references embedded in my work. It might interest you to know that I have found 33 interesting and significant things concerning the year 1933. When I asked you for 33 gold coins as part of the change from our transaction I wanted one coin for each thing. The 24 kt coin represented the U.S. coming off the Gold Standard. The fact that there is one coin from that year that was confiscated by the U.S. Secret Service is another. So you have two mentioned in one news report. You also know that 33 appears on Rolling Rock, and that it appears because that was the year of repeal of prohibition. So, that's four. THANKS. Cheers, b * ... http://www.forbes.com/2002/04/10/0410pow_print.html Piece of the Week The $6 Million Coin Isabella Geist Talk about inflation. A $20 double eagle gold coin minted in 1933 could fetch as much as $6 million when it is brought to auction by Sotheby's and rare coin dealer Stack's July 30 in New York. This would make it easily the most expensive coin in history. What could make a coin worth so much? Before you start rummaging through your coin jar, it is important to know that this coin is the only one of its kind in the world. Not only is it unique, it has never even been officially issued. Not to put too fine a point on it, it's stolen. When President Franklin Delano Roosevelt took the U.S. off the gold standard in 1933, he ordered all new $20 double eagle gold coins to be destroyed. Somehow, ten of the coins disappeared from the United States Mint. Over the years, nine of the coins were recovered and subsequently destroyed by the U.S. Secret Service. One slipped through the government's fingers and is believed to have ended up in the collection of Egypt's King Farouk, a passionate numismatist who amassed a collection of more than 8,500 gold coins. It is believed that the coin being offered by Sotheby's is the same coin. However, no one can be certain. When Farouk was deposed in 1954, a 1933 double eagle was among the lots offered at the new regime's sale of the royal possessions. But the U.S. Treasury successfully had the coin withdrawn from the sale, only to have it disappear again. What is known is that the present coin reappeared in 1996 when a British coin dealer was arrested at New York's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel attempting to sell it to Secret Service agents posing as coin buyers. With the double eagle once again in the government's hands, the courts reached a settlement that the coin could be privately owned, paving the way for the upcoming auction. Upon auction, according to the U.S. Mint, the coin will be officially made legal tender. The new owner will be presented with a certificate of transfer, enabling it to be privately owned. Of course, the final purchase price will be increased by $20, which will go the United States Treasury General Fund. Forbes Fact The first double eagles were issued in 1850. The design of the 1933 coin was originally the work of American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who was commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt for the job in 1907. --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.

[e-gold-list] Re: getting e-mail addresses RE: WARNING. YET ANOTHER E-GOLD SCAM
Some of the addresses they mail to have been trawled from my website, so any sites from by a search on e-gold are fair game for this fraudster. As they sometimes send me several of these e-mails EACH DAY, I can barely imagine a recipient of this repetitive stream of spam actually clicking through a link and typing in their e-gold account details. They could also get e-mail addresses from this mailing list, but unless they never read the messages, they would have to have realised that they are repeatedly spamming individuals who are NOT going to give them our passphrases, and who might do terrible things to them if we catch them. [e-gold-list] PayPal to Bank Account
I can't withdraw money from my PayPal account because I live in Argentina. So if I ever want my PayPal money as cash (Supposing I have PayPal money), I would have to do the following slow expensive process: PayPal - -15% - e-gold - (Exchange provider's fees + wire transfer fees) - My bank account. Does any market maker provide the following service for a small fee?: 1 - I send money to the exchange provider's PayPal account. 2 - The exchange provider wires the amount (less fees) to my bank account. Thanks in advance for your information...
