Dear list members, Until now I was a silent observer of this list. I am representing First Digital International Bank, the only bank being active in DGC's. This individual 'Paul' (no further name details known) also contacted us yesterday to exchange 45,000 USD worth of e-gold into goldmoney. He wanted us to do the first step and spend this amount to him:-). I asked him if he was an eCTA-member, which he declined, instead he offered some vague references of other people which I didn't know. So, I suggested that he first spends to us, guaranteeing him to be paid immediately. He didn't do it! Somehow I had some trust, so I spent him 5,000 USD as first step, with the agreement in place that he should immediately spend back to our e-gold account. AFter 5 minutes with no action and no feedback I told him that I will now call up Geoff Turk to get his holding at goldmoney frozen. It was only then that he reluctantly spend the missing 500 gg. Since then he has not completed the original deal. No further message from him. What do we learn? 1. CAVEAT EMPTOR! 2. We are working now to set up an escrow sytem for transactions between market makers and between MM and clients. We will soon come forward with the details. I trusted you first yesterday, quite unusual for a bank. You didn't follow through. A bank is a bank, and not an unincorporated entity like goldspender run from some kitchen desk and asking people to wire funds to a personal account ... Get a life! Ragnar, it all depends how someone is presenting himself... Reputation is based on a person's actions (or inactions). Many fine businesses do not initially have capital to incorporate or lease an office. This does not make them disreputable. This is what i got as information about him, given by himself: I am not yet [an eCTA-member], but you can get references from James Shupperd (www.fastgold.net), Elwyn Jenkins (www.standardreserve.com). We have been in business for about 2 years and there were no any negative feedbacks about our service. We've earned more than a million during these days, mostly on business partners. There's no reason to cheat anyone for as like as 4,000 g of gold!.. Having stated that he made MORE THAN A MILLION was either a lie, or if it were true, then he had a complete inappropriate setup. I rest my case. For me this thread is closed, Goldspender.com is no adequate business partner for our bank. [e-gold-list] Looking for market maker to accept check from UK
One of my friends has a dividend check made out to him in English pounds. In the past e-gold would let you endorse the check over to GSR as payment for the InExchange. My friend has told me they are no longer offering that service. Is there a market maker that can perform an InExchange by a person endorsing a third party check to the payee?
