I am seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual wishing to pursue an M.S. degree in Biological Sciences at the Department of Natural Resource Management, South Dakota State University. A research assistantship ($13,034/yr) is available for two years with a January 1, 2013 start date; graduate assistants receive a 2/3 reduction of tuition costs. The successful applicant will conduct research in the area of wetland or soil ecosystems, and research topics may include prairie pothole wetland hydrology, invasion of non-native Phragmites australis, effects of agricultural management on soil carbon fluxes, or GIS analysis of wetland ecosystem services.
