[ECOLOG-L] Looking for research assistants to help with fish survey in coastal Texas

2017-05-26 Thread Philip Matich
Sam Houston State is developing some coastal marine ecology projects to better
understand the impacts land and water management have on coastal ecological
communities. One of our most important sampling sites is Powderhorn Lake,
where changes in land management are predicted to alter water chemistry,
hydrology, and land use by humans. We are working diligently to gather
baseline data before large-scale changes occur in 2018, and are looking for
motivated volunteers to help out with monthly surveys of fish and wading
birds in the lake.
