7th International Fire Ecology and Management Congress

November 28 to December 2, 2017

Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Orlando FL

The Association for Fire Ecology and the Southern Fire Exchange invite you
to attend the 7th International Fire Ecology and Management Congress, which
is being held in Orlando, Florida this fall. This event will be one of the
largest, most comprehensive meetings on research and management of wildland
fire globally, bringing together fire researchers, managers, policy makers,
and students.

The conference program has a mix of presentations, roundtable discussions,
workshops and trainings, field trips, and student activities. Our opening
and closing plenaries, presented by an outstanding set of national and
international speakers, will focus on the conference theme "Fire Vision
20/20: A 20 Year Reflection and Look into the Future." We also have a
special plenary session featuring *Fire AFEx Talks*, which will consist of
10 engaging presentations covering a range of key wildland fire topics.
More than 20 different special sessions containing 150+ presentations will
occur throughout the week, covering topics from climate change and
restoration to prescribed burn associations and fire education. Check out
the special session abstracts for more details (
