Contingent Faculty Survey Please respond by November 30, 2012 https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ContingentFaculty
The Ecological Society of America is interested in understanding the needs and concerns of ecologists who are employed as contingent faculty. Thus the Society would like to hear from ecologists who are contingent faculty. The term “contingent faculty” includes both part- and full-time non-tenure- track faculty engaged in teaching and/or research. Specifically, contingent faculty positions are contingent on external or continued funding. Depending on the institution, contingent faculty are also known as non-tenure-track faculty, non-senate faculty, adjunct faculty, clinical faculty, research-grant funded personnel, lecturers, instructors, postdocs, or part-timers. To inform any action the Society takes, it needs to know how many members and potential members are contingent faculty and what their needs are. This survey has been designed to gather this information from ecologists who are or have been contingent faculty working in higher educational or academic institutions. If you are not or have never been a contingent faculty member, you do not need to complete the survey. If you know an ecologist who is or was a contingent faculty member, please send this survey to them. Please take a moment to respond to the Contingent Faculty Survey. We appreciate your response by November 30, 2012. Survey results will be shared in the ESA Bulletin. Thank you for your participation.
