I recall there being something like this in the Munsell soils books for 
estimating proportion of coarse fragments. Here are two hits online (or google:

  In preparation for summer sampling, I'm looking for flashcards that show
ways that percent cover can be distributed in a quadrat, i.e., 25% cover
