Postdoctoral Research Associate -- Plant Ecology at Case Western Reserve University A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in Jean H. Burns' lab (currently at http://www.eve.ucdavis.edu/burns/) at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH to develop collaborative research in plant ecology. The focus of the Burns lab is on the mechanisms governing community assembly, with a special focus on invasive plant species and phylogenetic comparative methods. The research program is flexible, but applicants with strengths in plant demography, mycorrhizal interactions, or herbivore defense compounds are especially encouraged to apply, as are applicants with strong quantitative skills. I am looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. with an interest in developing a collaborative research program. Interested applicants should have a Ph.D. in ecology, evolution, or a related field by the start date. I will begin reviewing applications on 1 August 2010.
