Birmingham-Southern College, a selective residential liberal arts
college, is pleased to announce a tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
position in BIOLOGY, with a specialization in PHYSIOLOGY beginning fall
2016.
Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching and development
of a research program involving undergraduates. Ph.D. required;
postdoctoral and teaching experience preferred. Teaching
responsibilities include introductory courses in organismal biology;
physiology; senior seminar; general education courses; and electives in
area(s) of expertise, preferably immunology, neurobiology, developmental
biology, or environmental toxicology. The teaching load is three
courses per term (lecture and/or lab), plus a January course.
With enrollment at over 1300 students, BSC is featured in 40 Colleges
that Change Lives and is a sheltering institution for Phi Beta Kappa.
