On behalf of the EGSG committee, we are pleased to announce this year's graduate student research award winner and an honourable mention. This year's winner is Rory Horner, Ph.D. Candidate, Clark University, for his work on the role of state policies in the development of domestic pharmaceutical industry in India. Rory will receive a $750 contribution towards research expenses. We also have one honourable mention: Kean Fan Lim, Ph.D. Candidate, University of British Columbia, for his work on the institutionalisation of two emergent sub-national economies in China as an example of state spatial rescaling. Congratulations to Rory and Kean, and thanks to all those who submitted an application. The quality of submissions was excellent, making it a tight competition.
