[Efw-user] Bug in Spam Assassin on 01/01/2010
Hi, There is a bug in SpamAssassin that changes all the scores, increasing the number in 3. Is this already fixed in Endian Community 2.3? If not, what should we do to fix the problem? Re: [Efw-user] firewall rules are hard to use
Plus another driving me nuts is where to be able to add the web pages I want to by pass the proxy to speed them up. It was pretty simple and clear in 2.2 But in this new firewall interface I have no clue where to put them now. It was also plain simple englsh that any one could understand that made it easy to if its this one it doesn't look at all like the other one and talks about subnets.Bypass transparent proxy? a subnet to me is whats goes in for www(host) joe.domain.com . so anyway it is a pain for that simple thing too..etc > Date: Mon, 4 Jan 2010 15:38:47 -0500 > From: domin...@slackadelic.com > To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Efw-user] firewall rules are hard to use > > On 1/4/2010 3:33 PM, oneforall immortal wrote: > > well I'll have to go back to 2.2 I guess , I was going to paste my > > domainanmme/blah/snapshot.jpg to some one and I could even check if it > > works first . > > all I want is it to work locally also (using the www.mydomain.com) but > > it refuses times out etc all because the simple way has become so darn > > complicated I'm stuck with out it . > > Also the other things that are only half a@@ working or stuck with them > > not. Plus it should be sending it out where is its mapping it to my public ip#(the one we get from our isp dynamic/static) when it should be going out to the net and from the place you buy it forward etc > Date: Mon, 4 Jan 2010 15:38:47 -0500 > From: domin...@slackadelic.com > To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Efw-user] firewall rules are hard to use > > On 1/4/2010 3:33 PM, oneforall immortal wrote: > > well I'll have to go back to 2.2 I guess , I was going to paste my > > domainanmme/blah/snapshot.jpg to some one and I could even check if it > > works first . > > all I want is it to work locally also (using the www.mydomain.com) but > > it refuses times out etc all because the simple way has become so darn > > complicated I'm stuck with out it . > > Also the other things that are only half a@@ working or stuck with them > > not. Re: [Efw-user] firewall rules are hard to use
umm as I said previous versions WORKED with the exact same config I have on the lan boxes. So it is this NEW firewall editor that sucks in this respect compared to the one that WORKED 2.2.x So that is most definitely efw's fault since the new method is broken or just fails to be as good. > Date: Mon, 4 Jan 2010 15:38:47 -0500 > From: domin...@slackadelic.com > To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Efw-user] firewall rules are hard to use > > On 1/4/2010 3:33 PM, oneforall immortal wrote: > > well I'll have to go back to 2.2 I guess , I was going to paste my > > domainanmme/blah/snapshot.jpg to some one and I could even check if it > > works first . > > all I want is it to work locally also (using the www.mydomain.com) but > > it refuses times out etc all because the simple way has become so darn > > complicated I'm stuck with out it . > > Also the other things that are only half a@@ working or stuck with them > > not. You would probably want to set up an internal DNS entry in Endian's dnsmasq configuration (available in the web interface) to tie that DNS name to a particular IP internally. Optionally, you would have to run internal DNS off of another machine internally. The Endian has no idea what your internal DNS infrastructure is, it only knows that www.mydomain.com is an external address and will route you as such. -Matt -- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev ___ Efw-user mailing list Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
Re: [Efw-user] firewall rules are hard to use
well I'll have to go back to 2.2 I guess , I was going to paste my domainanmme/blah/snapshot.jpg to some one and I could even check if it works first . all I want is it to work locally also (using the www.mydomain.com) but it refuses times out etc all because the simple way has become so darn complicated I'm stuck with out it . Also the other things that are only half a@@ working or stuck with them not. It terrible when some did and was easy to do and now its not .:( _ Eligible CDN College & University students can upgrade to Windows 7 before Jan 3 for only $39.99.
