[Ekiga-devel-list] Thread crashes on terminating a connection

2006-10-15 Thread Jan Schampera
Hi!

Current Ekiga HEAD; PWLib and OPAL HEAD from 2 days ago.

When a connection is terminated or a connection can't be established
because of no account configured, one thread crashes. After 1-2
seconds, "XLib: unexpected async reply" occours on the STDERR of Ekiga.
Next time, when the UI wants to refresh (2-3 seconds after the thread
crash), the whole application crashes.

Unfortunately, I have no tracing information available. The debugger
terminates itself when the thread crashes. Maybe you have a hint how to
trace that...

Regards,
Jan

I'm using CVS HEAD from 3 weeks ago, and I do not really plan to
upgrade ;-)

I don't plan to upgrade my gnome anymore either (seeing all the problems
with ubuntu doesn't make me confident).

However, you know the story... Without backtrace

Please give a way to reproduce this.

Thanks,

I call 500 and terminate the call. When I run it inside the debugger, I
get "Memory access error", a thread crashes away, the debugger
terminates and a few seconds later the whole app crashes.

funny.

I can't reproduce it here (at least with an older OPAL revision).
Perhaps something was broken in recent CVS. I don't plan to upgrade
before the current code is stable ;)
