The USB Logitech webcams appear to have a hardware bug (something about usb timings) and as far as I understand it, there isn't a workaround for it. Unplugging the cord of my webcam I can do but I'd like to know with what command i can do a usb_reset_device(). I guess some experts on linux-uvc are Laurent Pinchart and Evgeny. The best to do is often to join #ekiga on irc.gnome.org to be part of the community of developers. I think that bug is simple : I think it just means that when you remove an account from the UI, the account is not unregistered.
