The driver knows it can't do that. But when asked to do it, it crops the image without complaining to ekiga. If at least it complained ekiga would try something else. If I understand it correctly, Damien and you say that the problem is caused by the driver advertising it supports QCIF when it does not. But in my case the driver knows that QCIF is not supported - so I assume that the problem lies somewhere else? Or do you mean that the driver may still advertise it supports QCIF to Ekiga even though it internally knows that it does not? Re: [Ekiga-list] Webcam Doesn\'t Scale
I have the same problem of image not scaling with Labtec Pro. It uses gspca too, however, the driver reports \"minw 176 minh 144\" (ie it knows that QCIF is not supported so the problem is not here in this case). This is with 2.0.9 version of Ekiga on 2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 kernel. __ http://sport.sme.sk - Najkomplexnejšie informácie zo športu ___ ekiga-list mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list

Ekiga cannot do anything to fix this : it asks something to the driver, the drivers answers ok and does stupid things... There are two ways out : - the driver is modified to really support what ekiga wants ; - the driver is modified to be honest and return an error when asked something it can't do. Both ways are on the driver side. Snark on #ekiga ___ ekiga-list mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list
