No... Is videosupport enabled in asterisk ?
Is video transmission enabled in ekiga ?

Ekiga 2 only works with 176x144.
Ekiga 3 works with all resolutions, but Asterisk is broken with that
respect. So with asterisk, except with a dirty workaround in ekiga, you
will only get 176x144.

[Ekiga-list] Some troubles :(

2008-09-04 Thread Mike Massonnet
Hello,

I am running two Ekiga and connect via SIP on a local Asterisk. In
this configuration I wanted Ekiga to display the remote+local video,
but the options are kept insensitive in the menu View. In fact once a
call is going on, the only choice is the Remote Video.

In your opinion, is this a problem related to Ekiga?

Another remark, despit the resolution of the video that I select in the
Preferences > Video > Devices, I always and only get the remote video
in 176x144.

May this also be related to Ekiga or maybe Opal?

In all cases, are you able to have calls with a resolution higher than
176x144? I was never able, and I am sceptique now about both issues.

Thanks for clearing me up,
Mike

That is a bit weird, all of them should work. We have tested
intensively.

Perhaps in the future ;-)

Using H.323, only H.261 is available.

[Ekiga-list] snapshot 20080814-1 and H.263

2008-09-04 Thread Christian Charles

I'm evaluating ekiga as a H323 capable videophone client.
I have installed ekiga snapshot 20080814-1 on 2 debian/lenny systems and
was able to do video calls using the H.261 video codec (and PCMU audio).
When i select H.263 as the only video codec in both clients, the call is
audio only though. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

[Ekiga-list] P2P - ARM

2008-09-04 Thread emanuele bottegoni
Hello guys,

I'm asking myself if Ekiga 3 can work correctly in P2P mode, both in audio
and video session.
I've tried some tests and sometimes works sometimes no.
Furthermore:
my dream is to obtain an Ekiga version for ARM architecture, especially
ARM9,so it's possible to use it in several applications, such as PDA or
Smartphone.

Thanks

Emanuele

[Ekiga-list] Preferences

2008-09-04 Thread emanuele bottegoni
Hi Damian,

the actual GUI view is a little poor, about me,but it's not a big problem.
I can't suggest to change based on my preferences but I can say that it
could be interesting if each user of Ekiga can modify himself the
GUI,based on personal preferences through a specific graphic tool or with
some tricks that only developers can tell.

What do you think about this?

Emanuele

I think the 3 /// are correct.

What would you change ?
Feedback is always important and 3.2 will quickly follow 3.00.
