Re: [Ekiga-list] can't get ekiga to work
You can surely get some kind of help here, but you'll need to give specifics. I have not been able to get Ekiga running due to problems with audio driver. It did however install and find my camera and sound card. My problem is so far seems restricted to the Linux sound drivers, like the defaults on a Slackware 12.0 install because that is the only error I get in association with Ekiga stalling. It would be nice to hear more details from people who actually do get Ekiga to work under Linux. Specific hardware and Linux distro/versions that work would be nice. Build-deps, Deps, change version, remove a patch for SVN, use the new .tar.gz instead of svn, modify get-orig-source target accordingly, add a man page for simpleopal, change version number to allow automatic upgrade when debian official packages are available, and the various checks that all is fine... well, thx for the diagnostics ;-) but what can I do? [Ekiga-list] Ekiga 3.0 and the never-ending dependancy adventure
Hello, I'm trying to install ekiga 3.0 on an opensuse 10.2 system. Using the sources, i always run into the same issue - a list of dependancies. conpile libs - need x, need Y, you don't have Z... install X install Y --- you don't have A, B, and your C is out of date install A,B, update C install Y install Z - your D, E and F are out of date.. etc... etc... and some days later I get to actually install the Ekiga. is this clearly documented anywhere that I could prepare all the pre-req packages, instead of the hours-long obstacle course I am currently running through ? -- Shawn Adams [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ ekiga-list mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list
