I have tried the "release" version (ekiga-setup-3.0.2-gtk-2.14.7.exe)
but it did not recognize my webcam (logitech 9000). The previous "beta"
version (downloaded from [1]) worked fine. By not recognizing I mean
that the camera was grayed out in the video devices selection list. As
soon as I selected another video source, the camera disappeared from the
list. During a video call, I have only received the bouncing logo.
Having reverted to the beta version, the camera is recognized and the
video call works.

Regards,
Michal Svoboda

[Ekiga-list] svn -> git for ekiga

2009-04-18 Thread Eugen Dedu

Hi,

Some of you should already know: gnome changed yesterday the repository
from svn to git. This means that from now on ekiga sources must be
obtained with:

  git clone git://git.gnome.org/ekiga
instead of:
  svn checkout/export ...

More information at http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Download_Ekiga_sources

As I said , it seems that this beta version does not include directX
support. I think it has been discussed a lot already and the upcoming Win32
3.2 will correct that.

Waiting for this maybe a simple " Without prompt" remaster of the previous
beta would be enough for most windows users in that case.

Do I understand correctly that _not_ including directx results in the
camera _working_ ? Can you point out some threads about this issue?

When is the windows 3.2 about to be released?

Perhaps. I'm however also getting a greenish tint and generally
unsatisfying _received_ video quality on this windows version. Is this
also caused by missing directx or...?

(sorry for the top posting)

It looks like I've found a fix.
Look at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=578883

Thanks,
Mounir

Re: [Ekiga-list] echo test not working in ekiga 3.2.0-0ubuntu1 (Ubuntu 9.04, Jaunty)

2009-04-18 Thread Michael Olberg
Hi,
Just for the record, after a recent 'apt-get upgrade' of my Ubuntu 9.04
(Jaunty) system, ekiga now works like a charm for me. With pulse-audio,
usb-headset, the works.
Still wonder what was wrong before, though ;-)

Yes, that was fixing my issue too.
As said in bug 578883 [1] I had to add start() in set_stun_server() and
set stun_enabled to true.
