[Ekiga-list] Ekiga with XFCE
Hi there, As I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 I choosed to quit from Gnome and elected XFCE And now when I newly start Ekiga I get : Gconf key error Ekiga got an invalid value for the GConf key "/apps/ekiga/general/gconf_test_age". It probably means that your GConf schemas have not been correctly installed or the that permissions are not correct. Please check the FAQ (http://www.ekiga.org/), the troubleshooting section of the GConf site (http://www.gnome.org/projects/gconf/) or the mailing list archives for more information (http://mail.gnome.org) about this problem. This looks like very bad news as I presume that Ekiga would'nt want to run along with XFCE ? Tell me it's not true ? Re: [Ekiga-list] automatic reconnecting
Not a helpful message but just... I agree with you Mark. This seems a interesting but missing feature for Ekiga. A wish for next version. To take a comparison with another program (not VoIP but), gaim is able to reconnect to the network either manually or automatically if the connection is lost whatever is the protocol/account. [Ekiga-list] Block SIP address ?
Hi, I'm new to the list and I'm using ekiga from a while now. Great and handy program. Here is my problem: I kind of pervert person try to contact my wife by ekiga all the time when she is connected. Do you know if it is possible to block his sip address (as for msn or jabber messaging) so that she has not to every time refuse the requested connection ? This kind of feature is useful too for children or teenagers who would use ekiga in a protected way. Of course, some rule have to be respected by them too to avoid that, but blocking sip address could definitely be a part of the solution.
