Unfortunately, I do not think the problem is at our level...
Have you tried contacting eeepc developers? They could have a look (or
send one to us so we can fix it).

Now that's a good idea! I'll let you know if I have any luck

Thanks

Also try changing the audio device :
- Default for input and output
- Direct sound card access for input and output

I tried the above but it made no difference.
I have also installed the basic Xlite for linux and it works with a crackle
behind the transmission (but it will do for now!).
It's a shame because I like Ekiga especially the multiple sip function, I use
one for incoming and one for outgoing. I will keep an eye open for updates
(please!).

Hi, I'm a fan of the ekiga softphone using Ubuntu. Now I have an EEEPC (tiny
laptop) using a Xandros o/s. I downloaded ekiga from the respository and
installed ok. However, the audio reception is very choppy and makes the
programme unusable. In the config mode the audio is choppy. I have tried
different codex's but no change. I closed all other progs.

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Skype works fine.

Using ekiga the transmission was ok and not choppy, just the reception

Thanks
