[Ekiga-list] mailing list archive
Hi, Please can some one tell me if there is an archive for the mailing list. I'm resetting up Ekiga and have problems with sound and a couple of other problems and know that the questions have been asked before but not by me. Thanks Ashley ___ ekiga-list mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list

Re: [Ekiga-list] mailing list archive
Hi, The current problem is not being able to hear the echo test but I can hear ringing when I try the call out to my cell phone. There are also issues with the network via the router but I think I got this fixed as I can log in with ekiga.net and diamondcard. I carried out the instructions in the wiki but still getting the report that there is a problem but can now log in to ekiga which I could not before. You should send us the (compressed) output.txt file after: ekiga -d 4 2>output.txt Please can I check that I type this in to the terminal? Because I did this and nothing happen about from Ekiga starting up and when it was already running nothing happened. No report back. I guess the question may be on whether you're on Windows. For Unix derivates, this is to be entered in a shell in a terminal (in an X windows display), yes. I'm no Windows user, but I've noticed: http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga Debugging Ekiga on Windows .. ekiga.exe -d 5 1>x 2>x (I'm not sure whether the x after 1> and the x after 2> should be different paths. Or really just the letter x ?) > Because I did this and nothing happen about from Ekiga starting up and > when it was already running nothing happened. No report back. The report should be in the file "output.txt" created in the directory from where you ran the above command. If the file exists, and you're on a system with gzip (like Linux), run "gzip output.txt" and then send "output.txt.gz" Christian. -- GRATIS für alle GMX-Mitglieder: Die maxdome Movie-FLAT! Re: [Ekiga-list] mailing list archive-now trying to debug ekiga
Hi, I'm running Kubuntu jaunty. I'm using a usb phone to make calls. I've installed the ekiga debugging thing from the repositories. But still get no feed back. Everything seems fine, I just cann't hear a voice when I try an echo test. Thanks Ashley > > Please can I check that I type this in to the terminal? Re: [Ekiga-list] mailing list archive-now trying to debug ekiga
Sorry about this. When I first emailed I should have sent this as it may hold some kind of clue. Its the report that I was getting at first and carried out the instructions, after this I was able to log on to ekiga.net. But I was still unable to do an echo test. Ekiga did not manage to configure your network settings automatically. You can still use it, but you need to configure your network settings manually. Please see http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Enable_port_forwarding_manually for instructions Thanks Ashley___ ekiga-list mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list
