I had not considered this before when thinking about the purchase of a new-to-me synthesized radio - and there are some significant and surprising differences! It's wonderful to see Rob working on this, but he is pretty late to the party. Elecraft engineer K6XX and I gave this talk to local contest clubs in 2013 http://k9yc.com/K6XXAmpTalk.pdf I published this report, analyzing the results of ARRL Labs testing in 2014. http://k9yc.com/TXNoise.pdf Six months later, I published my own measurements of my rigs and amps, and of rigs I'd borrowed from neighbors, including two problematic Yaesu rigs. All have been on my website since then. 73, Jim K9YC __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

[Elecraft] Elecraft 80M SSB Net Announcement
Please join us on 3784 kHz (NOTE THE NEW FREQUENCY), 9PM ET Sunday (0100Z Monday). Note that the net stays on the same local time, when we switch back and forth to/from Daylight time, so the UTC time changes, but not the local time. 80M has been good at that time of the evening, with strong signals and little QRN from thunderstorms these days. As we move into Daylight time and have longer daylight hours, this may no longer hold so true. Your net control this week will be Dave, N8SBE, although I've had intermittent antenna issues at high power the last few weeks. This seems to be an 80M only issue, for some reason. If I continue to have issues this evening, please listen for Eric, WB9JNZ, who did a stellar job a few weeks ago of taking over as NCS after my hi-power station went down. This week we had a couple of snowfalls, but the temperature was high enough that the sidewalks and driveway were 'self-cleaning'. Suits me, for sure. Hope to see you this evening on the net. 73, -- Dave, N8SBE __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
