[Elecraft] Milliwatt Drive Power for Transverters
I have a Q5 Signal 100W transverter. The required drive power, 1mw, for full transverter output, is set in the “L” range of the K3 XVx PWR config option. When I vary the drive power from 0.1mw to 1.5mw, there is no change in the output power of the transverter indicated by the in-line analog wattmeter. What gives? Output power should vary with input power. Correct? NS4V David R. The second half of this sentence is incorrect. You can do radio control on the USB port at the same time as you are using the USB audio codec in the radio without the need for any port sharing program. The USB audio codec is functionally independent of the COM port. The need for a port sharing program like LP Bridge arises only when you are using the same COM port from more than one program at a time. In contrast, unlike the COM port which cannot be shared between programs, you can use the audio codec from multiple programs simultaneously (e.g. multiple RTTY decoders decoding the same audio signal in parallel). 73, Rich VE3KI __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Re: [Elecraft] Using KIO3B for digital and AFSK RTTY
Hello Pete, Plug in the USB cable between your K3 and computer. The computer will (should) recognize the K3 sound card as USB Audio CODEC and install drivers automatically. In WSJT-X, select USB Audio CODEC as your microphone and speakers. You can also do radio control through the same USB port, but if you want to do both at the same time you need a port sharing program like LP Bridge. --- 73, Mike Cizek WØVTT -Original Message- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Pete Smith N4ZR Sent: Wednesday, 3 May, 2023 10:10 To: Elecraft List Subject: [Elecraft] Using KIO3B for digital and AFSK RTTY Is there somewhere online where I can read about how to use the sound card in my KIO3B? Re: [Elecraft] Using KIO3B for digital and AFSK RTTY
Nothing to read ... simply make sure you have *nothing* connected to the Line IN jack and use "Speaker (USB CODEC)" exactly as you have been using any external sound card. Use AFSK_A as your RTTY mode, DATA_A as your general digital (FT4/FT8) mode. Set MENU:MIC_SEL = Line In for Data modes and adjust Mic Gain for 4 bars of ALC. Bottom line, "USB Audio CODEC" is a direct substitution for any other sound card you may have been using previously. 73, ... [Elecraft] P3 question
Please reference the P3 manual pp19. Markers donot follow the VFO. They are used to set VFOA (MARKER A) or VFOB (MARKER B) with QSY TAP, depending which marker is displayed on the P3 screen. 73 de Ben W4SC Sent from Mail for Windows __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
