[Elecraft] KX2 question
Folks … I recently invoked the latest firmware update on my KX2 (s/n 1031). Upon beginning use of the KX2 after the firmware update two changes to the operating configuration were noticed. They are: 1) Upon pressing any of the front panel push button switches, a CW identifier takes place. How do I delete this from happening? 2) The “display” push button no longer displays the several functions it once did. What do I need to do to bring back the display functions when I push the “display” button? Thanks for any help in this matter … Bud, NY1Z … __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
[Elecraft] KAT100 ATU- Plays well with others
Dear Santa What if Elecraft designed and built a KAT 100 ATU 1. 3 antenna ports 2. Same width as the FT891 as a marketing strategy. 3. Take the design of the KXAT- 100 ATU And I had some brains 4. Interface cables to work with Yaesu and Icom. transceivers, plays well with others. I think Elecraft would sell quite a bit of them kind of like a baby KAT500. We all know Elecraft is the king of ATU’s Have a Great day! Re: [Elecraft] Crystal filters for K4D.
Never mind. Demonstrating my neanderthal characteristics, I didn't realize that the K4s don't use crystal filters. Just found that out. 73, Pete N4ZR On 12/1/2023 9:46 AM, Pete Smith N4ZR wrote: I am about to buy a K4D. I have 500-Hz filters (probably INRAD) in both my K-3's receivers. Re: [Elecraft] Crystal filters for K4D.
I think K4D is a direct sampling SDR, no such thing as a discrete filter in sight, Crystal or otherwise. K4HD module will revert a K4D back to an old fashioned superheat front end with a fixed first IF so you can fit filters but I don’t know if any outside Elecraft knows what the centre frequency will be. Probably only worth it if you’re a multi multi station or have 1500 watt neighbours half a mile away.
