[Elecraft] K3 and MMTTY Settings
I need some help. I have used my K3 and MMTTY for RTTY mode communications for a long time. I used MMTTY as a standalone program, I used it imbedded in N1MM classic and I also used it imbedded in my logging program Logger 32. Life has gotten in the way of operating and as a result I haven’t been on RTTY for several months. Well this past weekend there was an RTTY contest on and I had a few minutes to get on so I turned the rig on and brought up one of the programs to get on and have some fun. Well I couldn’t make any of the three show me the XY scope. it was just a small dot in the middle of the screen. I could transmit OK and would decode on the screen of the radio but I can’t seem to get it going again in MMTTY. Is there someone using any of these three programs that could help me discover what setting I am missing either in the software or the radio? [Elecraft] KPA 500 Fan Continues to Run
With the amp and rig turned off the fan in the KPA500 continues to run. Not just the short interval I was used to it running, but for days it will run. It stops when I turn the amp on and into standby. Any ideas? Did I somehow change a setting somewhere or has something failed? Unplugging the amp then plugging it back into the mains did nothing to stop it either. [Elecraft] Headset/Mic Suggestions
Since I seldom use SSB I have not had the need to ask this question and I realize the responses may vary as much as belly buttons. I have a K3 and I also have the hand held microphone. I want to obtain a headset with an attached microphone to use with this radio just in case I may want to do some SSB work. I used to have a noise cancelling headset which I really liked because my shack is located in the laundry/utility room and it seems that the washer and/or dryer runs as often as the furnace does. The company that did make the noise cancelling headset no longer makes them so I am now trying to find out what other hams use or what is in the market place. I am especially interested in a noise cancelling headset with an attached microphone that sounds good on a K3. I inherited a K3 and the K3/0 mini. Did the K3/0 mini come with a manual and instructions on how to interface the two together over the internet? I just need to know where to start looking for info and guidance.
