Re: [Elecraft] P3 deaf ??
Check that you haven't made the same mistake that I made when I first connected up the P3. Putting the BNC cable from the K3 into the top BNC socket (labelled "IF Out") will give you the very low levels you are seeing on the waterfall. Crosstalk or breakthrough? Check that it is in the lower socket which is appropriately labelled "IF In". Just a thought. 73 Norman - GM4KGK -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/P3-deaf-tp5968742p5970923.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Elecraft] RF Gain Factory Defaults
Malcolm This issue has been resolved with the latest version of the K3 Utility (1.3.10.11). Your firmware is probably OK, but it will do no harm to re-load it before you run the Calibration procedure. 73 Norman - GM4KGK Malcolm Rothwell wrote: > > Unfortunately when I opt for factory defaults and click on "Calibrate" I > get the following error message : E0400E3 ERR DSE on the K3 display and on > the K3 utility I see "DSP command response did not arrive". > -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/RF-Gain-Factory-Defaults-tp5658229p5658320.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Easy to fit and doesn't break the bank. Reduces keying requirements to about a volt at 1.5mA and you can use it with any rig. http://www.harbachelectronics.com/main/page_products_sb200__sb201.html I have no connection with the company. 73 Norman - GM4KGK K3 #1139. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K3%3A-Keying-SB-200-tp1565952p1566545.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. What sort of time scale would you expect the ALC loop to require to get close to the level set on the PWR control? I will look at it more closely in future. 73 Norman _ GM4KGK K3 - #1139 -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Software-Upgrades-tp729564p731588.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Set the PWR control to 100w (or 120w if you wish) and control the power output using the MIC level control on the front panel. (MIC SEL = LINE IN).
