[Elecraft] No TX audio
HK From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: No TX audioDate: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 18:12:28 + I recently installed the KRX3 in my K3. At the same time I moved some filters and installed an additional one on the main board . I now have the problem of no audio on SSB. Works FB on CW. I am thinking the culprit is likely to be the 2.7KC filter on the main board. Before opening up things again I thought I would ask for some suggestions.Howard..K2HK HK___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. [Elecraft] switch tone volume
My switch tones are covered up by the audio. Is there a way to increase the volume? [Elecraft] Please Post KRX3 Arrival Dates!
Mine was ordered end of January. I was told last week, I am about 2 weeks away from receiving an e-mail. Please continue to post when your backordered KRX3 (2nd receiver) arrives, along with your order date and/or K3 serial number associated with the order! I was hoping to have the KRX3 in my K3 (#1152, ordered 2/7/08) in time to take it with me for use at PJ2T for the CQWW CW Contest, but as best I can guess, I'm still a month or two away from having my KRX3. 73, Jeff K8ND ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. RE: [Elecraft] K3: AB two-step
Vic, I missed that. That's a bummer for me. When chasing a dx station in a pile up I would like to hear the dx and scan the frequencies looking for the station that is currently working him and be able to quickly transmit on that frequency. My reasoning changes some but my vote remains the same 73. You still use VFO B to scan a pileup -- you just can't hear both QRGs at the same time. Howard Klein wrote: Since your listening and counting I 'm voting. I had exactly the experience Bob had. Couldn't transmit, then when I thought I had it all figured out (4 tries later) in my haste I transmitted on the DX frequency :-( (mea culpa). I believe there would be no problem if the sub RX is installed but under my current cx's it is very cumbersome. On the other hand I see Wayne's point IF the sub RX is available. My vote make it an op option. 73, Howard..K2HKLyle wrote: The changes came about as a result of careful deliberation based on input from customers, followed by field testing and evaluation of that feedback. We're listening! Wayne wrote: Suppose you're using SPLIT, listening to a weak DX station on the main RX (in a very narrow bandwidth with preamp on), while tuning for a clear spot with the sub RX (using a wider bandwidth and preamp off). With one tap of AB you can move VFO B back to the starting point and work your way up again. If this also copied VFO A's filter and preamp settings (etc.) to VFO B, you'd have to set them up all over again. But I'll be happy to sit back and listen to arguments pro and con. If it looks like a lot of operators would prefer to copy everything with one tap, I could add a menu entry. If no one argues in favor of two-tap (including the field testers), I could change it outright. I'm easy :) Thanks for your input.___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. [Elecraft] LP-Pan/LP-Bridge and W2UX,WW2DX video

The bottom line for me is v 0.92 PowerSDR IF Stage and LP-Bridge. Anxiously waiting. Happily you always come through.Howard..K2HK HK -- Message: 10 Date: Sun, 20 Jul 2008 00:03:12 -0400 From: Larry Phipps [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Elecraft] RE: Elecraft Digest, Vol 51, Issue 33 (LP-PAN / LP-Bridge). To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Hi Howard. I don't know what they used, but they have a beta of LP-Bridge, and I have a beta of the next release of Scott's program. You will not need to set up anything for the IF frequencies, except to tweak a global fine tuning control in PowerSDR to zero beat LP-PAN with the K3. In my case, it amounts to 41 Hz to bring them in sync. All K3 band changes, adjustments, including IF shift, and 5-pole filter offsets, are automatically transmitted to PowerSDR from LP-Bridge to keep the programs synced in terms of IF center frequency. LP-Bridge is coming along nicely, and should be released soon (as well as Scott's v 0.92 of PowerSDR IF Stage). 73, Larry N8LP Message: 16 Date: Sat, 19 Jul 2008 14:20:32 + From: Howard Klein [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Elecraft] RE: Elecraft Digest, Vol 51, Issue 33 To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1Scott and Lee, Thank you for a great job and service to the ham community. I can only begin to appreciate the personal time that has gone into this. Looking forward to the enhancements and Larry's LP-Bridge which should really make it more universal. I could use some clues to setup of IF frequencies for K3. It appears that you are not using HRD in the video. Does that mean you are using LP-Bridge or a similiar program? 73, Howard..K2HK HK Hi All, Scott (WU2X) and I did a short video last night showing the basics of his version of PowerSDR and the K3 as a high resolution 192khz panadapter. [Elecraft] KRX3
Subject: [Elecraft] RE: Preview of coming attractions. To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Wouldn't the KRX3 be considered a coming attraction? No word on its status as of today, the 25th, and the projected shiping date. Was this just a carrot being dangled in front of those who have waited almost a year? I would hope not, but. I believe the KRX3 was being offered along with the K3 last year at about this time.yes? Patience is one thing, but when it's the same old thing over and over it becomes frustrating. At the very least we should have seen an update today. I for one would prefer to wait and have a more perfect product. Considering the length of time I plan on using the K3, a few days or weeks longer or even months would be time well spent. The manufacturer's intended usage is, DeOxit Gold for new work and Deoxit for older work. Deoxit has a solvent that disolves contact film. Deoxit Gold protects w/o effecting conductivity. See the Caig website for a more detailed explantion of their products. I have rarely used the products myself. Any answer? Ruchan - TA2AH Hi, I would like to know if it is really necessary to use DeoxIt or ProGold product during the K3 (or any Elecraft products) assembling procedure or not? Any answer from Elecraft crew would be apreciated. 73, Ruchan (TA2AH) I use Deoxit or ProGold (now called DeoxitGold) on all electrical connections (including Schurr Profi II contacts) and am going to assemble my K3 with ProGold applied to all electrical connections. To me, it's a no-brainer. -- ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
