My husband (N1QQP) passed away in 2013 and I would like to sell his K2,
with extras, as I do not have a license to use this, nor do I know
anything about radios.
Members of his radio club have checked the K2 out and it is working
perfectly. It is unfortunate that he passed away just a couple of
months after completing this radio, so he never really had a chance to
use it. The club has also given me a break down of what is in the
radio, so here is the description of what I have for sale:
Elecraft K2 15W Transciever, SN 06429
80 thru 10 meters, excluding 60 meters.
Basic K2 kit with the following options:
1. KDSP2 - DSP Filter & Real-Time Clock
2. KSB2 - SSB Adapter
4. new MH2 Elecraft Microphone
5. Elecraft KPA100 PA (100 watt amp)--unfinished (1/2 done)
A club member has gone through the box of parts and everything
that is needed to complete this is all present and accounted for.
I do know that the kit and extras amount to an investment of
approximately $1500.00. Elecraft charges $300 to assemble the radio, so
the value of this is close tot $1800.
Considering that it is practically new I would like $1200 (OBO) for this
set up.
I live in MA--very conveniently off of both I 290 and I 495--so if
anyone in the New England area is interested in purchasing this set up
they are welcome to come and try it out.
